There are many agencies who care for young orphans but those over the age of 5 have limited options. Conditions for these orphans are hard and dangerous; sleeping on the streets and begging for food. There is no one to take notice if they miss a meal, become sick or disappear. Yet they have hopes and dreams of becoming engineers, pilots, or doctors, just like any other children. Because AIM staff saw the increasing needs of these older orphans, AIM House was established in 2002.
AIM house is currently home to 15 children (9-17 years), a house mom and a grandmother. All the children have lost both parents from various tragedies. These kids are forgotten and written off by the world but in them we see hope, leadership for the future, and children that God created for a powerful purpose. Now each of them has a place to call home and a family of their own. | ||
